Essential Info

The inclusive approach offered in this drama degree will enable you to sample and develop a broad range of performance and production skills. You will be introduced to live performance and theatre, and drama as a vital form of film, television and radio.

This drama degree focuses on the relationship between theoretical understanding, knowledge of contexts and histories, and practical experience. Each year, you will study a module that explores major ideas and developments that have influenced drama, theatre and performance. This will strengthen your work in practice-based modules, where you can study performing, devising, directing, scriptwriting, design and technical theatre.

In years two and three of your drama degree, you can select specialist areas to focus on, including applied drama, studio theatre production, scriptwriting, theatre acting, or a dissertation in a subject of your choice.

Our drama degree course is supported by a wide variety of extracurricular activities, including public productions, student festivals and a campus radio station.
