This means we can provide specialist training for budding 3D digital animators and artists to prepare them for work in film and television animation, commercials and VFX industries. What You Will Study
Our computer animation degree starts with an introduction to 3D computer animation, 3D digital art and compositing principles, progressing to advanced computer-based animation and 3D digital art and compositing. During years two and three, you can specialise in areas such as:
- Character animation
- Creature animation
- Animated short film-making
- 3D features artist
- 3D environmental artist
- 3D visualisation artist
- 3D visual effects artist
- 3D pre-vis artist
- Live-action and CG compositor
- 3D rigging technician and 3D digitalv lighting artist
How You Will Study
You will complete practical work using industry standard equipment and software, which is given a contextual background through taught modules in culture and history. To make you more attractive to employers, we also offer some business studies elements. This extra dimension will ensure you have a thorough understanding of the industry and the marketplace, whether in commercials, television broadcast animation, special effects or CG feature films.
