The aim is to enable the student to become research-aware so that they know where and how to find research literature to promote a clear understanding of the research process. By the end of the module they should reach a point where they can make an informed decision about whether particular research studies could influence their own day-to-day practice and that of their colleagues. The module is also concerned with research utilisation, the process of actually developing practice so that it becomes more knowledge led.
