Specifically designed for students who may have already obtained a HND or equivalent qualification, a top up degree allows you to gain a full bachelor degree in less than year.

What You Will Study
During this one year ‘top up’ course, you will examine core aspects of business such as business strategy and communication in a global context, whilst also getting the chance to conduct an investigation into a business problem that allows you to apply your business acumen to a real life scenario.
As part of the ‘top up’ year you will also undertake a specialist module on international culture and communication which will allow you to explore the role culture plays in shaping organisational communication. In additional to core and specialist modules you will also get the chance to choose an optional module from four recommended choices.

How You Will Study
There are some traditional lectures, but the majority of your learning will rely on interactive seminars, supported by online study materials. We also arrange an induction programme, so you can get to know your tutors and other students before you start studying and hit the ground running on the first day of term.
You will use the latest real-life data and case studies to help you learn, making your studies as relevant as possible to what you will experience in the workplace.
Teaching Quality
In the most recent national student survey published in 2011, marketing was rated top in Wales with business rated 2nd in Wales for overall student satisfaction. These subject areas received the following score from final year undergraduates: 91% of business students were satisfied overall with their learning experience. 95% agreed that business teaching staff communicated effectively. 94% agreed they feel more confident as a result of their course. 96% of marketing students believed their communication skills had improved.
